The News Leaves Me Feeling Hollow These Days

Whether it's politics or the economy, the more I watch, the more negative emotions seem to pile up. What worries me especially is how many people get swept up in fake news around issues like manipulation of public opinion or partisan infighting.

So these days, I've intentionally been cutting back on the news. Instead, I try to get my information mainly from podcasts and books.

I've come to think that what I believe and how I choose to live matters more than other people's opinions. I think it's better to sort out my thoughts through conversations with the people around me.

I also cut off the news last year, and my mental state definitely improved. But on the other hand, I do sometimes miss important things. I think it's better to filter it out moderately.
