What's the most reliable image generation AI to use these days?

I subscribed to Midjourney but never really got around to using it, so I canceled. What's the go-to these days? I'd like to try a free option for a bit before deciding.

If you're just looking to try it out for free, Google Gemini's image generation is the most hassle-free option. There's no watermark, and it'll generate images even if you write a rough prompt in Korean.

Agreed—I totally relate to paying for Midjourney and then never touching it lol. I used it for a month and then just left it gathering dust.

Trends keep shifting, so it’s hard to pin down and say, “This is the one these days,” but for getting a free feel for it, I’d recommend Gemini > Canva > Wrtn in that order. Canva also carries through to editing, which made it convenient for practical work.
