Sent out 100 resumes and still no calls
This is driving me crazy. I've got 5 years of experience and thought I made a really thorough portfolio, but it's been 3 weeks since I applied and not a single call. Everyone around me says times are tough, so I know it's not just me, but it still stings. Let's just hold on a bit longer.

Yeah, that's how it is these days. I also submitted over 100 applications and got a reply after a month.
Well, I'm not too sure about that. Don't you think there's a difference between thinking you've made a careful portfolio and actually making a great one? Try showing it to the people around you.
Check if the tech stack you wrote in your resume and cover letter matches the keywords in the job posting. I've often been filtered out at that stage. Since three weeks is still early, it might be better to wait a bit longer and revise your cover letter.
When I had 5 years of experience, it took me 3 months, but during that time I packed my resume with performance metrics, and suddenly I started getting contacted. If you have someone to show your resume to, definitely get feedback.
