Sharing How I Fixed My Bad Sleep Habits

I used to toss and turn until 3 a.m. and even ended up going to a psychiatrist, but without medication, just by changing my habits, I now fall asleep by 11.

The thing that helped the most was "not looking at my phone in bed." The first 3 days are hell, but after a week you get used to it. And I cut out caffeine entirely 2 hours before bed.

It sounds trivial, but it really works.

Agreed, the phone really is 80% of it. Once I stopped keeping a charger by my bed, it made a huge difference for me too.

Well, that's a bit... Insomnia has different causes for different people, so isn't it a bit risky to write as if not looking at your phone and cutting caffeine solves everything? For me, quitting caffeine actually just made my anxiety worse, so I slept even less. If it's gotten to the point where you'd see a psychiatrist, I think habit correction and medical treatment should be seen as separate things.
