I've Had My Housing Subscription Account for 5 Years: Should I Keep Paying Into It?
I've been putting in 100,000 won every month for 5 years. The total is around 6 million won.
The problem is that the subscription competition rate in this area is so high that my points wouldn't even get me in the door. But if I cancel it, the progress I've built up feels like a waste...
People around me say I should just switch to the Youth Preferential housing subscription account, and I'm wondering if that's the right move. What are others in a similar situation doing?

Five years does feel like a waste, lol. But honestly, if you can’t get in with that area’s points cutoff now, continuing to pay in won’t change anything. A lot of people switch to the Youth Preferential type because of the interest rate and tax-free benefits. That said, switching can change how your existing payment periods are recognized or how your deposit is calculated, so go to a bank branch and run a simulation for your specific case. I’ve seen quite a few people just switch without doing that and regret it later.
