Has anyone tried GPT-5? Is the difference noticeable?

Yeah, coding is definitely getting smarter. Let's upgrade.

I moved up to 5, and writing or summarizing feels about the same as 4.5? But complex problem-solving is clearly better. Especially, there are fewer mistakes in multi-step tasks. That said, for everyday use, I'm like, is it really necessary?

I tried it out of curiosity after seeing all the fuss in the news, but honestly it's like a 2% difference in real use? Just because benchmark scores went up doesn't mean everyday usage changes that much. Waste of money.

What's the source? I'm just happy with 4.5 lol.
