I Applied to 30 Places and Got Rejected Every Time

I have experience, so I don't know why I keep getting filtered out at the application stage. I even wrote different answers for every cover letter prompt...

Is it my resume format? The hardest part is getting ghosted with no response at all.

I really relate to this... I applied to 40 places too and it's been radio silent for two months. Getting ghosted with no contact is the most soul-crushing thing, lol

For experienced hires, your work experience description matters far more than your cover letter. Writing every question completely differently can actually backfire. Since each company wants a different angle, it was more efficient to make one master version and just swap in the JD keywords. After I switched to that approach, I landed three interviews.

Well, 30 places isn’t really that many. And since you’re an experienced hire, just clinging to job postings is really inefficient. You should also work headhunters and referrals from people you know—isn’t just sending out 30 applications an inefficient approach?
