Kimchi stew really goes well on a rainy day, doesn't it? I like to add chili peppers and boil it—I love eating it while sweating. Home-cooked meals are the best!

Well, on rainy days I find myself thinking more of pajeon or buchimgae—kimchi stew feels a bit plain, doesn't it? Though it's tasty, of course.

I think I understand why everyone craves kimchi stew when it rains. Is it because the broth is nice and spicy? Next time, I should make some myself.

When making kimchi stew, it's really delicious if you add sesame oil, tofu, and pork, and then top it with lots of green onions at the end. On rainy days, it's especially great to boil it spicy and sweat it out — it's refreshing and comforting. I stir-fry the kimchi first.
