Are we all feeling the recent interest rate hikes?

For those who want to borrow money to do something, the burden is definitely heavier. I've seen people around me give up on buying a house, and I've heard others say they're struggling with interest on business loans.

On the other hand, it's true that depositors are getting better rates. For people who just want to save, there's nothing bad about it. But it feels like the wealth gap is widening, and that leaves me a bit conflicted.

No matter what policies the government puts out, ordinary people still live the same kind of day. Just thinking about those who are paying off debt and heading to their part-time jobs again today...

Yeah, with interest rates rising, just the loan interest alone is suffocating.

I'm on the opposite side, earning interest on deposits... Honestly, it feels good, but I feel a bit sorry seeing friends who've given up on buying a house. In the end, it seems like a structure where the rich just get richer.

Well, even if deposit rates have gone up, when you factor in inflation, the real interest rate is still negative. Saving alone isn't necessarily a good thing.
