I've Become Someone Who Can't Code Without Copilot
I used to turn off all autocomplete and type everything myself, but these days my hands freeze if I don't hit Tab once lol. I don't know if I've just gotten too comfortable or if my brain is rotting.

Lol, I can really relate to this. When the Tab key doesn't register, it feels like something's wrong, so I just end up staring at the blinking cursor.
I definitely think our brains are degrading. Back in the day, I'd look up function signatures I didn't remember and learn them that way, but these days I just hit Tab for everything, so it never sticks. Still, you can't beat the convenience.
Well, that's a bit much. It's just that the tools have changed, not that we've regressed. It's the same logic as not being able to do mental math because you use a calculator—but we don't call that regression, do we?
I feel the same way. But I've seen several cases where people who used Copilot as new hires couldn't explain in review why the code behaved the way it did, and that honestly scared me a bit. Use it, but definitely build the habit of reading the generated code line by line.
