A rundown of where I'm really feeling inflation these days

Since grocery price talk keeps coming up, I figured I'd jot down what I've personally felt over the past two years. This isn't based on statistics—just my personal impression, so take it lightly.

The thing I feel the most is eating out. It used to be that 10,000 won covered lunch and coffee; now 10,000 won is just one meal. Add coffee and 15,000 won is the baseline.

I don't order delivery at all anymore. Once you add the minimum order amount and delivery fee, it goes over 20,000 won, so I concluded it's better to just cook at home. The catch is that even when you buy groceries and cook, the ingredient costs aren't cheap either.

On the flip side, electronics don't feel like they've gone up. If anything, price-to-performance keeps getting better. That disconnect feels a bit strange.

In the end, I figured I had no choice but to change how I spend, so this year I cut eating out to twice a week and increased the share I save. Where do you all feel it the most?

I quit delivery apps too, but the minimum order amount is the real problem. Even when I just want one serving, I end up adding sides to reach 15,000 won, and before I know it it’s well over 20,000, so I just make ramen instead. But even ramen isn’t at the old price anymore, so it’s funny in a sad way.
