For real, if every quest is just some errand, that’s a total reality check lol. Might as well just enjoy the eye candy from the graphics and drop it.

But isn't forcing level grinding an old-school game design? With today's trends, they should let you just push through the story, so the developer got a bit lazy. I also quit around the 10-hour mark for similar reasons. Waiting for a sale seems like the way to go.
