A Month After Moving: Things I Wish I'd Done

I moved out of the home I'd lived in for three years and into a new place, and there are a few things I wish I'd prepared for better.

The first is scheduling internet installation. I requested it on moving day and ended up surviving on a hotspot for a week.

The second is the move-in report and all the address changes. I had to change them one by one for banks, credit cards, insurance, delivery apps, and more, and it was surprisingly time-consuming.

The third is settling maintenance fees. I didn't know the previous home's maintenance fees would be billed later, so I was a bit caught off guard.

The lesson is simple: moving is harder on the administrative side than on your body.

You really have to book internet service 2 weeks before moving. I requested it on the same day and the technician’s schedule got pushed back, so I survived on a hotspot for 5 days... and got hit with a data bill bomb.

For settling the maintenance fees, can't you just call the management office at your previous place and ask if there are any unpaid charges? Just from reading the post, it feels a bit exaggerated.
