An Honest Review After Dollar-Cost Averaging into ETFs for a Year
Since around this time last year, I've been putting 500,000 won a month into an S&P 500-tracking ETF. It's been 12 months now, and the valuation is up about 14% compared with the principal.
Honestly, it's not fun. Every time I see the news it shakes me up, and since all I do is set up an automatic transfer once a month, there's nothing else to do. When a friend tells me he made 300,000 won in a day day-trading individual stocks, I get tempted, but he never talks about his losses, so I've decided to just ignore it.
The hardest part seems to be "doing nothing." After a year, I think that's the hardest part.

Agreed, the last sentence is the key point. I’ve been doing this for three years too, and in the end, it all comes down to hanging in there.
