Two Books I Read Recently: One I Highly Recommend, One I'm Not So Sure About
While looking for something to read on my commute home, I read two books back to back, and the difference in how I felt about them was so big that I wanted to share.
The first book was about developer careers, and the part about reflecting on why we work rather than just chasing tech trends was quite impressive. I think I underlined about 30 passages.
The second one was a bestseller, so I bought it with high expectations, but honestly, only the early part was worthwhile, and the further I got, the more it repeated things I already knew. I did feel it was a bit of a waste.
Conclusion: With books, whether they fit your own situation seems more important than whether they're bestsellers. Please recommend what I should read next haha

Could you tell me the title of the first book? 😭 I’m looking for something to read on my commute, so this is exactly what I needed.
I think bestsellers are just marketing lol. The way it gets repetitive toward the end is pretty much the norm.
