I Dropped 120,000 Won in the Steam Sale

I went nuts adding games after seeing the discounts, but the checkout total came to 120,000 won and I froze for a second lol

But I’m telling myself that if I play all the games I bought for over 300 hours combined, it’s actually a win. The problem is finding the time for those 300 hours.

When you think about all the games in your Steam library with 0 accumulated playtime, claiming you saved 120,000 won is kind of self-hypnosis lol. Sales are a trap that makes you buy things you wouldn't have bought otherwise, so it's spending, not saving. Take a moment to look back and see if you only picked up games you actually needed.

LOL this is so relatable. I’m exactly the same every sale. Last winter sale I spent 80,000 won, and there are still three games I’ve only installed and haven’t even launched once... Still, there’s that little sense of satisfaction (?) when you hit pay, so I don’t regret it. That said, trusting the “300 hours” claim is really dangerous lol—most people don’t even hit 30 hours.
