Still Feeling the Afterglow of 'Dune: Part Two' from the Weekend
Finally watched Dune: Part Two over the weekend. It's amazing how it didn't disappoint even with such high expectations.
The visuals were especially overwhelming, and the Bene Gesserit's political maneuvers felt even more threatening on the big screen.
If you haven't seen the first one yet, I recommend binge-watching the whole series. The mood can be heavy, but the immersion was top-notch.
The music was incredible too, and I felt myself sinking back into that world lol

Yeah, you gotta watch from Part 1 to get the full experience. But Part 2 is way better, in my opinion.
I also watched it over the weekend—especially the Shai-Hulud battle scene, the music and visuals were insane. The downside was that it was hard to stay focused for 2 hours and 45 minutes, but there were so many overwhelming scenes that it more than made up for it. If you've only seen the first part, I definitely recommend binge-watching through the second—only then does the worldbuilding feel complete.
Honestly, I was a bit disappointed. The story progression was predictable, and while political intrigue was at the core, it actually got in the way of immersion. Apart from the graphics, I couldn't see anything that set it apart from a typical sci-fi movie.
The music was good, but the Bene Gesserit scenes felt under-explained and confusing. In the next one, I hope they show more of that part.
