Mid-30s Health Checkup Results Summary (A Few Warning Signs)
This year’s checkup flagged me for follow-up tests for the first time. I usually don’t think much about it, but I was a bit shocked when I got the results.
- Blood pressure: within normal range, but higher than last year
- Liver enzymes: I cut back on drinking like they told me to, but it still came back high (suspected fatty liver)
- Cholesterol: high LDL
- Blood sugar: fasting in the low 100s, borderline
The doctor’s advice was predictable, in the end. Cut down on alcohol, exercise, don’t eat at night, manage stress.
But what really shocked me was when he said, “In your 30s, things may already be progressing even with no symptoms.” Everyone, don’t put off your checkups. I put mine off for two years and ended up like this.

Agreed. Now that I’m past my mid-30s too, every time I look at my health checkup results, it weighs on me.

If your fasting glucose is in the low 100s, make sure to check your HbA1c as well. Don’t judge based on just one number.
