They say the AI regulation bill is going to pass: how do you see it as a developer?

Lately, watching AI-related bills being discussed in the National Assembly, I have mixed feelings.

Of course, I think regulation of high-risk AI is necessary. But if the criteria are too vague, small teams and individual developers will just be discouraged.

Looking at overseas cases, there are many instances where startups die first because of compliance costs. I'm curious how everyone sees it.

For real, if the criterion is just 'high risk,' who would even bother? That's basically telling small teams to just quit.

So true lol. The moment regulations come out, startups are the first to get wiped out.

But if you look at it the other way, without regulation, big companies would just sweep up all the data and startups would be done for. It's the big companies that can afford compliance costs. I don't know, that seems like a one-sided view to me.
